The Eltham Football Club have appointed Tim Bongetti as its senior coach for the 2023 season.
Bongetti returns to the NFNL after spending four years playing for Greensborough, kicking 147 goals in 57 games between 2011 and 2014.
The former Boro co-captain led the club to the 2014 premiership and earned Team of the Year honours on two occasions.
He replaces his former Greensborough coach Robert Hyde, who stood down from the role after leading the Panthers to a minor premiership this season.
Bongetti got his first taste of coaching while playing for Pines in the MPFNL, taking on a playing assistant coach role before being selected as an assistant coach of the MPFNL under-19’s interleague side in 2019.
He joined East Keilor as a playing assistant coach in 2021 before transitioning to senior coach this year.
