The Northern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Nash as Head of Umpiring.

Nash joins the NFNL after six years with the AFL and AFL Victoria, where he most recently served as AFL State League & Talent Pathway Umpiring Head Coach.

During his time in the role he managed a staff base of 250 umpires, coaches and support staff for the AFLW, VFL, VFLW, NAB League Boys and Girls competitions

Among his achievements were creating a State League Rookie Squad development program for emerging community umpires; consistent yearly promotion of VFL umpires transitioning to the AFL panel and implementing a pathway for female umpires to reach state league level.

Nash has also previously served as AFL Queensland’s Umpires Manager/Coach and as Head of Umpiring at the Eastern Football Netball League.

NFNL Chief Executive Officer Peter McDougall said Nash was a welcome addition.

“We are extremely pleased to have Cameron join the NFNL’s administration team,” McDougall said.

“Cameron has an extensive and successful background in umpire coaching and administration and will bring a wealth of experience and skills to our umpiring department, which is already regarded as the benchmark in metropolitan football.”

Nash will formally commence with the NFNL on February 1, 2021.
