Several one-sided results rounded out the Cleaning Melbourne Division 2 home and away season as five teams remain in premiership calculations.
In a fixturing quirk, Fitzroy Stars and Kilmore will meet for the second time in as many weeks after the Stars won their Round 14 encounter by 50 points at JJ Clancy Reserve.
Three goals each for Montanna Hudson and Amina Keegan led the way for the Stars, the latter finishing the season as the Division 2 leading goalkicker with 61 majors from 13 games.
Devony Hoare put in another best on ground performance, with Tayla Hart-Aluni and Medika Bonney also among the best players for the Stars.
Alexis Knight, Luka Kennedy and Brielle Kinnear were the best players for Kilmore which will need to regroup ahead of this Sunday’s re-match in the first qualifying final.
Ivanhoe claimed the Division 2 minor premiership with a comfortable 55-point win over fellow finalist Reservoir.
The Ivies set the tone with a strong first half, taking a 32-point lead to the main break. They didn’t let up in the second half and pulled away to win well – Casey Clough best afield with five majors and Georgia Pirdis kicking four. Molly Uwland, Talya Callahan and Claire Macgill also had good afternoons.
Reservoir’s best were Imogen Milford, Nicole Hales and Ava Gerada and the Mustangs will dust themselves off for a win or go home elimination final against Darebin this Sunday.
The Falcons will head into that contest full of confidence following a 71-point win over Lower Plenty. Darebin’s core group continue to impress with Julia McArdle, Claire Hardi and Karly Mcneice among the best players again. Nikita Magriplis and McNeice booted three goals each.
Molly Reinke, Sophie Foote and Molly Wright were Lower’s best as the Bears finished the season at the foot of the Division 2 table.
West Preston Lakeside finished its season on a high note with a 29-point win over Panton Hill. The game was in the balance at half time with the Roosters leading by 14 points, but five second-half goals proved to be the difference between both sides.
Elisha Folino booted three goals for the winners with Soumaya Abbey-Sobh and Steph Gillie kicking two apiece. Isabel Young put in another best on ground performance and has been a very consistent performer for West Preston Lakeside across the season.
Bridie Groves, Angela Milesi and Ruby Moore finished the season well for Panton Hill.
Hurstbridge also closed out it’s 2026 campaign with a win, beating North Heidelberg by 48 points. Five final-quarter goals made a certainty of the result for the Bridges, with Natarsha Harrop kicking three goals for the afternoon and Nicole Paul kicking two.
Kristy Steven, Jasmine Sellman and Ruby Butterfield were the standout players for Hurstbridge, which finished the year with a 7-7 win-loss record in sixth spot. North Heidelberg had four wins to its name for the year.
