The NFNL congratulates Brooke Plummer and Lulu Beatty on their selection in the Victoria Metro team for the 2022 NAB AFLW National Championships – Girls U18.

Squads for the Championship were announced Wednesday, with Plummer of Diamond Creek Women’s and Beatty from Darebin included in Victoria Metro’s 30-player squad.

Plummer and Beatty both represented Victoria Metro at the 2021 NAB U17 Championships and have been standouts for the Northern Knights during the 2022 NAB League Girls season, with Beatty service as the team’s vice-captain.

Both also previously featured in the NFNL’s U15 Girls representative team.

Plummer last year claimed the Under-18 Girls best and fairest award, having also won the 2016 Under-16 Girls Blue best and fairest and 2018 Under-14 Girls Blue while playing at Yarrambat.

The 2022 NAB AFLW National Championships – Girls U18 will feature two Victorian sides, along with teams from South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, NSW/ACT and the Allies.

Matches will be played across the country over the next month, commencing with a clash between Victoria Metro and Victoria Country at Ballarat’s Mars Stadium at 12pm Sunday.
