The selected teams for this week’s NFNL senior football matches.

In Meadows Greyhounds Division 1, Heidelberg welcomes back key forward Sam Grimley for his first game since Round 8 when it makes the trip to Ben Frilay Oval to take on Hurstbridge. Grimley booted 24 goals in the opening eight rounds of the season.

Hurstbridge has made just one change following last week’s come-from-behind win over Bundoora, with rebounding defender Tyron Loader returning to the side.

Ladder-leader Greensborough will be without Ben Fennell for its home clash with fifth-placed Northcote Park at Greensborough War Memorial Park. Fennell has been named in Essendon’s VFL squad for its clash with Williamstown.

Northcote Park regains Brock McLennan and Jake Mills, but will be without ruckman Kyle Galloway.

Jesse Tardio and Jackson Jones are among five outs for North Heidelberg ahead of its trip to J.E. Moore Park to take on in-form reigning premier West Preston-Lakeside. Tardio has been named on an extended bench for VFL outfit Williamstown.

Macleod welcomes back skipper Anthony Doherty and defender turned ruckman Brad Leggett for its clash with Lower Plenty at Montmorency Park South Oval, however the Roos have lost Shane Doherty to injury.

Dale Marshall returns for Bundoora’s vital clash with Montmorency at Yulong Reserve. It will be the representative Bull’s first game since his side’s seven-point win over the Magpies in Round 7.

In A Plus Labour Solutions Division 2, Eltham welcomes back Tim Currie and Matthew Keys for its twilight match against ladder-leader Banyule at Eltham Central Park. However, it’s not all good news for the Panthers, with Michael Still and Paul Currie set to miss.

Banyule has named Riley Keath and Jacob Smith, although Riley Hogarth will miss just his second game of the year.

Oliver Parks will play his first game of the season when Diamond Creek travels to Epping. Parks has finished in the top-five of the Creekers’ best and fairest in both the past two seasons and could be an important inclusion as his club chases a top-four finish.

Fitzroy Stars will be bolstered by the return of Peter Hood, Hedley Smith and John Hayes for their trip to Whittlesea, where the Stars will be looking for an upset to stay in the finals race.

Watsonia has made seven changes for its trip to Main Street Reserve to take on Thomastown.

In Heidelberg Golf Club Division 3, Matthew Campbell returns for Mernda for its trip to J.J. Clancy Reserve to take on Kilmore.

Heidelberg West has named Kyl Ewart for its crunch match against Panton Hill at Heidelberg Park, while Tye Hall will miss South Morang’s match against Reservoir.

Selected teams for the NFNL Women’s competition will be named in the lead-up to each match.
