Ahead of the opening round of the 2024 NFNL senior women’s competition this weekend, Diamond Creek Women’s has announced the appointment of Stacey Cross as head coach of the club’s Division 1 side.

A premiership player with the club & former NFNL representative, Cross played 40 NFNL games for the Creekers from 2017-2023 and won the best on ground medallion as captain in her side’s 2022 Division 1 premiership triumph.

She spent time on the coaching panel last season and replaces Jarrod Hart in the role after just one season.

A club statement said:

We are thrilled to announce Stacey Cross as our Senior Women’s head coach for the 2024 season.

Crossy is the heart and soul of this footy club and we know the future is bright with her leading the way.

We wish Crossy all the best for the 2024 season.
