Greensborough and Banyule Football Clubs are uniting to support and raise much-needed awareness and funds for the EB Research Foundation.
The EB Research Foundation is the largest Australian not-for-profit foundation dedicated to funding research aimed at treating and ultimately curing Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
EB are a group of painful and life-threatening genetic skin disorders, also known as the worst disease you’ve never heard of.
The EB Research Foundation does not receive any Government funding and solely relies on the generosity of businesses and individuals.
Greensborough Football Club will host an EB Chariy Lunch on Saturday July 20 at Greensborough War Memorial Park ahead of the club’s home match against North Heidelberg.

WHAT IS EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA (EB)?
Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB is a group of life-threatening rare genetic skin conditions that affects individuals from birth.
A person born with EB lacks a critical protein or glue that binds the layers of skin together.
Without this protein friction blisters form, the skin tears apart and sheers off leading to severe pain, disfigurement, and constant open wounds that may never heal.
EB affects the body inside and out.
Blisters form all over, including in the eyes, mouth, oesophagus and damages internal organs.
Living with EB is likened living with third degree burns and often results in an early death.
EB patients are at constant threat of aggressive skin cancer.
