Zanic takes reins at Lalor

Zanic has a Level 2 coaching accreditation and joins the Bloods with an extensive background in football, which includes experience with clubs in the AFL, VFL and TAC Cup.

He worked four years with AFL club Brisbane Lions as an opposition analyst and has been senior runner at VFL clubs Coburg, Port Melbourne and Williamstown.

He also spent three years as a line coach with Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup between 2009 and 2011. 

In 2009 he was backline coach for the Cannons, before moving to forward line coach in 2010 and midfield coach in 2011. The Cannons won the premiership in 2009 and 2010 and were preliminary finalists in 2011.

Last year Zanic was an assistant coach at PEGS Football Club in the VAFA.

Lalor has also confirmed Shaun Tofts as under-19s coach for a fourth consecutive year. Tofts will also take on the new role as football manager. 

A reserves coach will be announced at a later date.
