Junior girls make their mark

Published on Wednesday, June 20, 2012

The game, held at South Morang football ground, was fixtured between the four Youth Girls games so there was plenty of support for the girls.

The smiles on their faces as they ran onto the ground was beautiful. The sun was shining and the girls shone as well. It may have only been their first hit out but they played the game with an intensity of seasoned players.

Each team had 12 per side on a scaled down ground and the effort they put in was unquestionable.

The main reason our kids play football is for the enjoyment and fun, and these girls personified this.

They are looking forward to playing again and we are all hoping that a few more clubs can get some teams up, if not soon then for the 2013 season.
