Vale Paul Hopper

Published on Monday, November 26, 2012

The committee, players and members’ deepest sympathies go out to Donna, Ryan, Marc and Nathan.

Paul was a gentle giant and much loved person around the club.

He was a founding member of the senior club as well as a dedicated member of the inaugural committee in 2009.

He also played an intricate role in establishing St Mary’s as a successful senior football club.

His committee roles included social and merchandising manager (2009), club secretary (2010-2011) and vice-president (2012).

Paul’s friendship and endearing personality, as well as his administration skills and vast experience as both a player and a committee member of a senior football club will be sadly missed.

With the sadness that presently surrounds Donna and the boys today, and as we mark the darkest day in our club’s short history, all at St Mary’s offer our sincerest condolences to Paul’s family as well as offer our heartfelt thoughts and genuine support to them all during this difficult time.

Farewell Paul – a mighty man indeed.
