Job opportunity- Casual Football Operations Assistant (Mon–Tue)

Help keep community footy running smoothly every week. 

We’re looking for a detail driven, reliable casual to support our weekly competition administration—perfect for a student, returntowork candidate, or anyone who loves community sport and loves to get the details right. 

What you’ll do 

  • Coordinate weekly compliance checks on umpire match reports across age groups/divisions 
  • Reconcile team sheets in PlayHQ—ensuring players are entered correctly (or crossed off if not playing) and each has a unique jumper number  
  • Ensure player eligibility settings have been met and close out games in PlayHQ 
  • Check and collate bestandfairest voting  
  • Track weekend white/yellow/red cards in PlayHQ and follow up on any missing umpire reports 
  • Other supporting duties to help our high performing Football Operations team manage a busy Monday and Tuesday during the season 

About you 

  • Meticulous with data and deadlines; you notice what others miss 
  • Confident using online and digital systems  
  • Clear communicator who’s comfortable liaising with umpires, clubs, and volunteers 
  • You love community sport and enjoy being part of a small, supportive team 

Role details 

  • Days: Monday & Tuesday during the football season, ideally 8 hours each day 
  • Location: La Trobe University Sports Stadium, Bundoora  
  • Rate: $30 per hour  
  • Start: asap
