Macleod’s draw with Greensborough meant that Eltham held on for fifth place despite receiving a belting at Heidelberg. Elsewhere, Bundoora clinched second spot with a comeback win over Northcote Park, while Epping bowed out of Division 1 with a win over West Preston-Lakeside.
Results went as expected in Division 2, with every top four team heading into the finals series in winning form.
Division 3 kick-started the finals series in exciting fashion, with Panton Hill and Thomastown victorious in their respective semi finals.
