The Northern Football League is proud to announce Diabetes College as the naming rights partner of the 2014 senior finals series.

The 2014 Diabetes College NFL Senior Finals Series commences this weekend, with Division 3 semi finals to be played at Shelley Reserve, North Heidelberg on Saturday and Sunday.

NFL chief executive Peter McDougall said he was excited about the league’s partnership with Diabetes College.

“This partnership is the first stage of an education and awareness program that will be rolled out to NFL clubs in 2015 to assist with educating the community about the risk of diabetes,” Mr McDougall said.

Ian McAllister of Diabetes College said the common values between the two organisations made the partnership the perfect fit.

“Our shared values regarding educating individuals on health and lifestyle makes for a great partnership and we look forward to a strong and continued relationship with the NFL and its clubs,” Mr McAllister said.

“Given the difficulty in raising health awareness in the general population, we truly believe that by joining forces with such community focused organisations such the Northern Football League, we can really make a long-term impact in the fight against Type 2 Diabetes.”
